Time:
Total: About 50 minutes
Prep: About 20 minutes plus time to chill dough (20 more minutes?)
Cook: 10-12 minutes
Yield: Makes about 4 dozen 1 inch cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sifted confectioners’ sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups sifted GOLD MEDAL Flour
¼ tsp. salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
Preparation:
Mix thoroughly the butter, confectioners' sugar and vanilla.
Sift together and stir in the flour and salt.
Mix in the nuts.
Chill the dough for 15-20 minutes.
Roll into 1” balls.
Cooking:
Place on ungreased baking sheet (cookies do not spread).
Bake at 400°F until set, but not brown, about 10-12 minutes.
While still warm, roll in confectioners’ sugar.
Allow to Cool.
Roll in sugar again.
