We begin the new millennium with $916.93 in the bank.
Society agrees to take up the expenses associated with publishing the Society newsletter, in order to relieve Marcia Atkins of this burden.  Thus far, she has been shouldering the expenses out of her own pocket.  She deserves our gratitude for contributing so heavily during our formative months, while we concentrated on other things.  Thank you, Marcia!

22nd - Board of Directors contemplates creating a Douglas County Heritage Book.

Program: Revolutionary War Re-enactment by Rhett Williamson.  An active participant in the Sons of the American Revolution, Rhett was in full regalia as Lieutenant Fitzpatrick of the Georgia Militia.
Wendell Guyer is recovering from heart surgery but faces more surgery on his legs.
Gwen and Dales mother has made a great recovery.
29th - Marcia Atkins welcomes granddaughter Mary Katherine Grigsby.
