The Geezer Gang

The Geezer Gang is a group of elderly gentlemen, mostly from the Douglasville area, who get together for lunch on alternate Wednesdays.  We call them Geezers because, traditionally, they have all been retired and in their 60's (or even older).  We say gentlemen, but that is only by accident, ladies are always welcome, as are any other guests you might wish to bring, including children.  However, everyone is expected to pay for their own meal.

We meet at 11:30, have lunch, chew the fat for awhile, reminiscing about the "good old days" and working out the most perfect solutions for all the worlds problems.  If only someone would listen to us.....

We are mostly veterans (although that is not a requirement) and when I (the DCGS Web Master) first got involved, some 12-15 years ago, there were an easy two dozen of us.  However, unrelenting problems with age, health, and relocation's, along with the activities of the Grim Reaper have reduced the total roster to 14, with only 4 regular attendees, with another 2 to 3 occasional attendees.  So, please consider joining us, at least once.  We believe you will enjoy it - and maybe become a regular, helping halt the demise of the group.

Our next meeting can be determined by stepping through the list below.  We meet every other Wednesday (every 14 days) and just rotate through the list.  You can start with the fact we closed out 2023 at Carrabba's Italian Grill at 2700 Chapel Hill Road, in Douglasville on the 27^th of December, 2023.  We would love to have you join us.

Of course, if you will drop an email to the Web Master), including your name (so I can identify your address in my list), you will receive an email notification of each lunch location one week in advance (the previous Wednesday) and a follow up reminder on the Monday just prior.

The list of restaurants changes occasionally, as they close, stop serving lunch or otherwise become unusable or undesirable.  However, we always strive to have something on the list to keep everyone happy.  The current list, which we just rotate through (in the order listed) is:

Note: We generally visit each restaurant twice a year, or so (every 22 weeks), so you're not likely to get bored with the menu.
